What I like most was the opportunity to view the inland battles near large bodies of waters from the naval view point. Over the years I have read many books about these battles, and little was said about the contributions and sacrifices of the officers and men of the U S Navy. This was Volume 3, I would like to read the other two volumes.
What I liked least was that I was unable to bring up the maps that are mentioned in the text on my version of the book.

I got this as a free book download. I like expanding myself, but that gets expensive. these books are perfect for a little light reading, and it was free!
A good read
For those interested in advances of navy technology this is unique. Much info new to me, with explanations of trivial solutions of certain myths!
The confederates thought they could beat the north 7, or 10, to one.....depending on what you read, in ground forces.......in which they were mistaken. However, I believe that they forgot about the bravery and tenacity of the navy. The U.S. navy, to this day, is boss.
